Grilled Tuna Steak

Grilling my favorite tuna steaks should be my last kitchen activity today. These guys have been sitting in the fridge since last night. Luxuriating in the special bath which I prepared consisting of:

juice of a small lemon
2 tbsp. honey mustard
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. cracked black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

They should be good to go. By the way, the marinade is for 5 slices of tuna steaks and each should be done six minutes on each side

I have my grill pan smoking and ready and the moment I laid the steaks on the hot grill and heard the sizzle, the wonderful aroma of the honey mustard and lemon wafted in the air. I just love grilled tuna. I even added some lemon slices which I will squeeze on the steaks later. If you love fish and these beauties do not make your mouth water, I don’t know what will! Incidentally, I am watching Iron Chef as I post this one and the special ingredient tonight is tuna! At least, they're not preparing something that can cause me to have major craving attack simply because I have grilled tuna for dinner also.

  2. Okay, I just tried your recipe/marinade, and it is fantastic. I added some honey to the mustard. I cooked it on the stove top, and the outside got singed, but the inside was too raw so I cut the steak into strips and cooked it till no pink showed. This is a great marinade, and I will use it for steaks as well. Thank you.

  3. Also, I wanted to add that for sides I had fried polenta (the readymade kind) and steamed broccoli. It was a good dinner!
