Another street food trip
Maybe it's because it is summer that I'm leaning towards easy and comforting but delicious creations. The idea to make this Filipino street food was hatched when I made elote a couple of days ago using Korean corn. I found the texture just perfect for binatog which is basically corn kernels boiled in water till tender and the broth has thickened. It is served warm with grated coconut and sugar. Some prefers adding salt to it but I prefer white sugar.
Korean corn is more tender and much tastier and I used pandan leaves to add more flavor to it. Using grated fresh coconut is another factor why my binatog turned out really delicious. Even my friends at work were in love.
